The Ladies of Charity serves the poor, disadvantaged, sick, and infirmed members of our community using a compassionate spirit of the gospel through the practice of spiritual and corporal works of mercy. The members of the Ladies of Charity duties include the following: Visit the sick and elderly that are homebound, in hospitals and/or nursing homes; operate a food pantry, coordinate blood drives for the Red Cross, prepare and distribute food to homeless shelters, provide layette items to pregnancy crisis centers, provide shoes to children ages 6-17, donate clothing to women transitioning from welfare to work, and provide food baskets, toys, and clothing to needy families at Christmas.
